Testimonials
“This new device will be able to help so many people with mobility issues. It is a cross between a rolling walker and a cane. Having the freedom of use of a free hand, while still having stability. No need to pick up the cane to have more stability and yet does not roll out from under you when putting weight on it. There is increased ease of moving the cane in and out of your car versus a rolling walker. If looking for stability and safety, yet more ease of movement, this could be what you’re looking for.” – Gail C, Sr Physical Therapist, Franklin, TN
“I tried the Next Step/RollerCane today. It is much easier to use than a regular cane. While using it , you feel more stable. I would highly recommend it.” – Delores, Rehabbing from hip surgery
“I use the Next Step/RollerCane constantly, in my house, going to the garage, at the grocery, in the hospital, to the doctor’s office, everywhere. My gait is more consistent, it doubles my walking pace, with less effort and is very stable.” – Dennis, Stroke & cancer survivor, Nashville, TN
“Love how smooth my gait is! I think I am more stable with this vs. a regular cane because I’m not picking it up which, with a regular cane, can cause me to have momentarily balance issues. My goal is to become more independent at home and out. Your cane will probably improve that for me. I see it particularly helpful going to my grandson’s soccer games, where a walker is a challenge over long distances. This will be so much better in a large store/grocery. Covering that much distance, a cane wears me out and a walker is cumbersome. I think the size is small enough to maneuver in a restaurant or tight areas where a walker is a challenge. Thank you for your persistence and innovative mind! I am a cancer survivor and have had scoliosis surgery. Our friend Gail has been a Godsend in helping me recover and your cane seems to be another step forward. My goal is to stay active”.- Sheryl, Total hip replacement & scoliosis surgery

Why are testimonials important?
Testimonials are the most important form of connecting with physical therapists and patients. We learn various things and testimonials can confirm things about TheRollerCane that we hoped to achieve.
Things that we’ve learned:
The color of TheRollerCane can make a difference to some. We had a patient that loved TheRollerCane but the silver one would catch her eye and made her think that she might hit it with her foot. The Physical Therapist called to let us know the issue the patient was having. We delivered a black one for her to try, and all was good.
Another patient mentioned the desire to go to her grandchildren’s soccer games, do we make The RollerCane with the ability to use it in grass and uneven surfaces? This has us working on producing an option for TheRollerCane to have larger wheels to handle “off road” situations.
The child of a patient asked if we offered an option of TheRollerCane with a hand brake? Though it has not been mentioned by a Physical Therapist or a patient, we understand the perception and realize that there will be people, other than the patient buying TheRollerCane as a gift for a patient or grandparent. Therefore we are incorporating a hand brake as an option for TheRollerCane.
Another benefit of testimonials:
Testimonials and reviews are more important than a commercial. A commercial represents the manufacturer’s opinion of themselves. Testimonials are direct responses from the actual users, (patients) and professional opinions from Physical Therapists, valuing every word.
Turning comments into action:
As mentioned above, we find value in questions like: Do you make TheRollerCane in different colors? Do you make TheRollerCane with a hand brake? Do you make TheRollerCane for rougher surfaces and grass? All of these questions have us in the shop, working to develop solutions to these inquiries.
Building Relationships, not just a one off transaction
Feedback and communication develops trust with the Physical Therapists, the Neuro Physical Therapists and most importantly, the Patient. When one of these important parties contacts us regarding any issue, address it immediately. Building a service and credibility reputation is important for us at TheRollerCane.

There is a Sense of Purpose Crafted Into Every RollerCane
From our inception, quality was our goal. The founder, actually needing a stable and dependable mobility device that was more stable than a cane but less bulky than a rolling walker, set his sights on a quality and usable device.
Mr. Schilling and his engineer friend, Daniel Bratcher started with a good concept but their first attempt wasn’t right. The base was too small, as were the wheels. It took thirty seconds for Mr. Schilling to direct Daniel back to the drawing board. The balance was not right and it would tip forward when crossing minor bumps and cracks. They ordered a larger base and larger wheels, and tried again. Now they had a product Mr. Schilling could trust.
They are continuing to test models of TheRollerCane for uneven turf and rough terrain.
