TheRollerCane is approximately 1/3 of the weight of a rolling walker and 1/5 of the size. You can take TheRollerCane conveniently, anywhere.

If you’ve been using a cane or quadcane, we think that you’ll be pleased with the glide and smoothness of TheRollerCane. No longer having to think about executing a step with the timing of the placement of your cane will feel liberating.

One major benefit that you will experience is the flow and improved cadence of your steps. As mentioned earlier, the process of picking up and placing your basic cane or quadcane based on your steps is eliminated. TheRollerCane remains in a stable position next to you, rolling along with you.

What is it like to switch from a cane or walker to this product?
If you’re making advancements in stability and considering graduating from a walker/rolling walker and going to a cane or quadcane, TheRollerCane could be the answer. With the stability of a quad cane or regular cane but eliminates the need to pick up and place the cane with every other step. Many find this to cause an irregular cadence, vs. the steady gait promoted by TheRollerCane.
When is a good time to try this product?
For orthopedic patients, this might be of use for you shortly after knee or hip surgery or whenever you would consider using a regular cane or quad cane.
For neurological patients, (stroke or head injuries) it might take a bit longer, depending on the degree of your injury. While TheRollerCane is very stable, a walker will be typically needed for a longer period. In either case, once you’re ready to graduate from a walker / rolling walker, TheRollerCane should be your next mobility device.

Where is your company based?
The company is Based in Sparta, TN with an office in Franklin, TN. We also have a testing and development shop in Smithville, TN.
Where can you use this product and where can you not use this product?
TheRollerCane comes standard with 3 inch rubber wheels. This size wheel works best indoors on level surfaces but maneuvers well on asphalt and concrete. It is quite controllable on slight slopes.
Please avoid using it on large gravel, uneven turf and stairs.
We are in the process of testing larger sized wheels for uneven turf.
Do you have a braking system?
One thing that the Physical Therapist haven’t had an issue with but those considering buying TheRollerCane for a spouse or family member, is a braking system. TheRollerCane doesn’t roll out away from you but, we are developing a braking system as an option for those who request it.
Any other options for TheRollerCane?
We are testing larger wheels for “off road” use, for those wanting to go to a child’s soccer game and needing to cover grass and rougher surfaces. We are also testing a hand braking system and a parking brake system for parking on a slope.
Neil Schilling, the quality control and design manager and Daniel Bratcher, our engineer, are working on a wheel system that will decrease manufacturing time.
